(Xperia Beta Program) New 23.5.A.0.570 Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow Beta update is rolling out to Xperia Z2, Z3 and Z3 Compact

One update following another? For some Xperia Z2, Z3 and Z3 Compact owners, it really does that.

Just last month, we saw the 23.5.A.0.486 Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow Beta update for Xperia Z2, Z3 and Z3 Compact:

And now, a new Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow Beta update with build number 23.5.A.0.570 has been rolling out to Xperia Z2, Z3 and Z3 Compact over Xperia Beta Program in select countries and regions.

This is a nice update, it improves Wi-Fi connectivity and Double Tap To Wake feature, lets some apps didn’t normally work in the 23.5.A.0.486 firmware working fine. According to the Sony, the updates mainly including:

  • Home screen off center
  • Application crashes when deleting contacts
  • Wrong navigation buttons
  • Gmail app not showing other accounts
  • Stuttering when listening to music via Bluetooth
  • Double tap to wake not always working
  • Plus various stability and quality improvements

There is not a single flashable package yet till now. So you can only get the new Beta update by using Xperia Beta Program project. However, once I find an available local package like full system backup, I will report it in new article.
