Verizon LG G5 VS987 receiving V26B update based on Android 7.0 Nougat
It’s a bit backward but it comes, I mean the Nougat update of Verizon LG G5 VS987. You know, to America’s telecom operators, Sprint and T-Mobile have separately released the official Nougat update before that.
Verizon is currently updating its LG G5 VS987 to new Android 7.0 Nougat version, which is accompanied by LG’s build number VS98726B. And, yes, the OTA is now alive.
With the new Nougat update, you will get powerful new features to customize your device experience. They including: you can choose your theme to personalize your Verizon LG G5, the LG Download app has been changed to the Google Downloads app, the new Multi-window feature lets you to use two apps at the same time, the Quick Settings has been enhanced, the fingerprint registration information has been updated, and more.
To get the OTA of update, you should connect your Verizon LG G5 phone to a stable Wi-Fi network, and also, please make sure that your battery is fully charged.
And, on the other hand, you can manually check for it if the update isn’t available for you.
Manually Check For Update
- Go to Settings menu
- Go to About phone
- Go to Software updates
- Go to Check for Update
- Once the new VS98726B update is available, tap Download Now
- Once download is finished, tap Install Now
If you can not receive the update through the OTA, you can try to use Verizon’s Software Upgrade Assistant.
