Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ might have been sent to your hands, but it simply cannot hold up in the spotlight of developers. The most famous Android custom recovery called TWRP is already landed in the Exynos variants of both phones because of work of XDA developers.

It is quite rare that the both high-end phones get the third-party recovery so soon. I’m so surprised, I can’t quite believe it, the TWRP comes in so fast. Any way, and so TWRP did.

The current version is TWRP 3.1.0-r1, what you should note here is that this TWRP is only available for the Exynos variants of Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. In other words, if your Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ features Samsung own Exynos processor, such as Galaxy S8 G950F, Galaxy S8 G950FD, Galaxy S8 G950X, Galaxy S8 G950N, Galaxy S8+ G955F, Galaxy S8+ G955FD, Galaxy S8+ G955X and Galaxy S8+ G955N, then this TWRP recovery is working for you.

This TWRP can be installed on your compatible Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ by using Odin flash tool, it is important to note that first you need to enable OEM Unlock. You can get the TWRP file from link below.

TWRPs Download Directly

  • twrp-3.1.0-r1_dreamlteks.tar (Galaxy S8)
  • twrp-3.1.0-r1_0424_dream2lte.tar (Galaxy S8+)

Once you have installed the TWRP recovery on your Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+, then you can boot your phone into recovery mode for using it.Galaxy.S8.twrp.recovery.xda

Again, it is only for Samsung Exynos variants, not for Qualcomm Snapdragon variants such as Galaxy S8 G950U and Galaxy S8+ G955U.
