(OTA ZIP Download) Asus ZenWatch 2 getting Android Wear 1.5 firmware update, build MWD59 and MWD48B
Asus has now releasing a firmware update for its smart watch device ZenWatch 2. The update pushes the latest Android Wear version 1.5 with build number MWD59 and MWD48B. You know, this is obviously the latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow version of Asus ZenWatch 2.
The update was effective from June 21, 2016. You can download the update via Firmware Over The Air. You can also manually check for update by going to Settings, About, System updates. It’s certain, you should have an available Wi-Fi connection for download of the OTA.
As usual, there is single OTA Zip firmware package provided by Google for you. But at this time, the file is only available for the big screen variant of Asus ZenWatch 2.
According to the Asus, the update includes improved display quality with better color calibration or something similar, improved connection stability, improved sleep tracking. The update has also fixed security vulnerabilities with May 2016 of Android Security Bulletins.

Beyond the above contents I mentioned, after update, there are also some new watch faces, and the translation in settings is also a bit better and your user interface is faster. Any way, this is a sweet update.
