Have you tested for the Android O beta version? Anyway, the new Android O Developer Preview 3 with build OPP3.170518.006 is now available for you and Google has also made the full factory images and OTA images available for downloading.

Similarly, the DP3 version of Android O is compatible for the Google Nexus 5X, Google Nexus 6P, Google Nexus Player, Google Pixel C, Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL.

The DP versions are generally intended to gather feedback, also for app developers to test their apps. In the third version, all APIs for Android O are worked. That’s mean the app developers can put the finishing touches to their preparations. While the update is more complete, so far it is still an incomplete version. As you know, the test version gives your access to early version of the operation system, but it probably has some bugs. In other words, test it at your own risk.

If you are interested, you can update the DP3 of Android O to your Nexus or Pixel device by flashing the related factory image.

By the way, the DP3 has told the people that the version number of Android O is began with 8.0.0. For this, once you have installed the Android O DP3, you can find that the Android version is 8.0.0 in the About phone setting menu.Nexus.6P.Android.8.0.DP3.About.phone

To say the least, if you want to back to the stable Android Nougat version from the unstable Android O DP, the recent Android 7.1.2 with the latest June security patches is a good choice. On this, the Android O DP3 comes with the May 2017 security patches.
