Most of us know that Google will send a new security update in the first week of each new month. These updates make Android up to date in terms of security. And, new vulnerabilities discovered will be patched before malicious people abuse them.

Now, Google has released the Android security patch update of September, 2017. The update is rolling out to owners of Nexus and Pixel devices, as always.

You know, the latest security updates first roll out to the Nexus and Pixel devices because these devices run on the purest version of Android system. Other device makers like Samsung who choose a handy version of the operation system will follow soon.

In total, the security updates resolves over more than a dozen critical errors and almost a hundred vulnerabilities.

In security patch level, the update has two parts, they are September 01, 2017 and September 05, 2017. In effect, the September 05 patch level is more complete.

The September security update will be available for the Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, Nexus 9, Nexus 6, Nexus Player, Pixel C, Pixel and Pixel XL. And, these who own one of the devices will automatically receive the update. Of course, if you really have not any patience, you can manually update your device by downloading and install the factory images or OTA images provided by Google.

Factory and OTA Images Download

As I write this Google has uploaded the factory images and full OTA images for the both variants of Nexus 9 tablet. As for rest of Nexus 9, see them very soon.
