For a new series of mobile phone, the Korea giant Samsung often provides many variations, for example, some models are based on Qualcomm Snapdragon chip, some are powered by its own Exynos SOC. However, most of us may be troubled by flashing something related to new updates or services that can be used.

Yes, we have Odin, but it may be difficult for some users. well, from today, a new firmware tool developed by Reddit user Thesbros  is available to shorten the reception times of new software versions. This is a great tool although it is currently only available for Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+ and Galaxy Note 8.

Actually, the tool is a new website in which are collected the new firmware related to the devices we have mentioned. From the site, all users can easily download and install the firmware depending on the model. Once the firmware is downloaded, it will be enough to use ADB commands or recovery for the installation.

Use new firmware tool

  • Go to the website of firmware tool
  • Enter your model
  • Enter current firmware version
  • Select the firmware you want
  • Click DOWNLOAD
  • Once you have downloaded the firmware, just sideload with ADB or you can put it on a SD card, boot to recovery mode and install

It’s important to note that the firmware tool is only effected for the Qualcomm Snapdragon variants of the three devices, so the devices that mount Samsung Exynos SOC are excluded from the service. This means the users who have purchased their device in America or China can now enjoy this firmware tool.
