ATT ZTE ZMAX 2 receiving Z958V1.0.0B24 Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update
When talking about the official OS update for devices from the carrier ATT, it is sickening for us. You know, ATT has always acted unfriendly on OS update. The OS update of ATT devices releases in a very slow pace, so to speak. Isn’t it? ATT ZTE ZMAX 2 users, I am sure of you suppose to accept this argument.
ATT sold ZTE ZMAX 2 last fall, and it was default ran on Android 5.1 Lollipop. And recently, ATT has started to release its Marshmallow update. Yes, is Marshmallow, not Nougat. Yes, after more than a year of waiting, the Marshmallow update of this phone was released. Stop whining, after all, the Marshmallow is here.
The update offers Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow to your ATT ZTE ZMAX 2 along with new build number Z958V1.0.0B24 and baseband version Z958H01, Android security patch level will be moved to new November 1, 2016. Frankly, I have been surprised not to see the latest December Google Android security patches attacks on the update.
Any way, the OTA of the Z958V1.0.0B24 update is now rolling out, it actually started two days ago. If you have not received the OTA, you can try to manually check for update by tapping Applications, Settings, AT&T Software Update, Check for update.
