ATT Galaxy Tab S 10.5 T807A getting UCU1CPI8 Android OS 6.0.1 Marshmallow update
While your Galaxy Tab S 10.5 is old, it is actually a perfect tablet device, many of us still using it daily. On this Samsung still supporting it. Oh yeah! Tab S is still under warrantee.
Recently, ATT rolling out official Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update for its Galaxy Tab S 10.5 T807A. We love any updates for our device, not to mention on the old device. With the update, you will get a new build number T807AUCU1CPI8, Android security patch level will be moved to new September 1, 2016.
According to the ATT, the update brings also new NumberSync functionality, which gives you the freedom to use your tablet to make and receive voice and video calls. For using, you can use your existing phone number. The feature is worked even if your phone isn’t with you. Of course, the NumberSync call depends on the myATT service working. But any way, it is a new functionality.
The update is now rolling out via the OTA, you can download it. But please kindly note that the OTA is over 1GB in size. In other words, you need an available WiFi network.
If the OTA for update isn’t still available for you, you can check it manually.
Manually Check For Updates
- Got to Settings menu
- Tap the General tab
- Tap About device
- Go to Software update
- Tap Check for updates
- Once a new update is available, just simply follow the on-screen prompts to download and install it
